Beautiful boy, very friendly, he plays, eats and grows. Winning personality, calm and quiet. His fur is very short and silky. A bit jowly, he has web feet and a serious expression even when he's happy. 5 months old, 31 pounds. We think he will eventually be about 60 pounds, because of his big feet and loose skin. Plotts need lots of exercise, are VERY good with children, and are easy groomers. Hulk is enrolled in the cell dog program for basic obedience training. Fee $100.

What an adorable doggie!!! Suzy Q has a black ring around one eye and we've been calling her "Wishbone" like the TV dog around here at Southeastern Correctional. She is from Saving Pets One At A Time in Morgan County and is in the prison training program now. She is doing great--loves all the other dogs, LOVES to play and bark happily , and of course, loves attention from people. She would do great in an active household, one with a fenced yard preferably. She's a little cutie with her white coat and merle-type grey spots. Come meet this little sweetie.

Sweet little Betsy is an aussie shep mixed with collie (she has collie ears and facial features, and aussie colors and coat), from SPOT Rescue in Morgan County. She is now in the prison program at SCI. She is a pup and will get a little bigger. Very well-mannered and quiet, but also loves to play and romp around. Betsy is friendly and alert, loving and affectionate. Loves to be loved!! She would be so good with children or just about anyone. Her coat is extra soft and her eyes speak to you. Elin looks like a lab pup without the soft roundness, but she has much the same personality. She's friendly and full of energy. She is a Mountain Cur mix, so she needs lots of exercise to be happy, either in a large fenced yard or with a companion who runs or jogs. Sassy is a sweet lady who likes to make people laugh with her antics! She is from Saving Pets One At A Time (Morgan County, Ohio) and is now in the prison program to learn her basic obedience. She would fit well in a household that is not overly active, but she does need some daily exercise, as both breeds can put on extra pounds easily. Sassy is mostly bassett with some beagle in there too, she is tri-colored and has those wonderful hound-dog eyes that are irresistable. Cricket is one of those dogs that makes you say "awwwww" - she is so cute with one ear up and one ear flopped over. Cricket is super-friendly and happy to be with you! She is a former stray who is now in the prison training program, but to be honest----little Cricket is probably ready to be in a home now, she is so sweet and listens so well. This puppy would be great in a home with kids, a couple, retireds, just about any home. She will need daily exercise, as she has some terrier in there mixed with collie. Winkle, or "Bear" as we call him, is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mixed with lab (chocolate, most likely). Very sweet, loving temperament. LOVES people. He has a horrible past history of abuse and neglect, but he certainly is flourishing in the training program at Southeastern! Bear was quick to become socialized and nice to the other dogs. He has a beautiful coat, golden eyes, kind face and just adores being petted and played with. He will need plenty of daily exercise to keep him happy. He would be wonderful with an active household. Edmonton is an adorable purebred beagle puppy from Fairfield Area Humane Society. He is already neutered and UTD on all shots, and wormed, and is now learning to be housetrained. Beagle puppies are irresistably cute, and one of America's favorite breeds. Being in the training program gives this little guy a big advantage, too, as he will undoubtedly be a wonderful companion for any household.

Bobber is a young boy with the traditional docked mountain cur tail and a beautiful face and short-haired coat. He is a sweet dog, and we are busy teaching him basic obedience such as sit, stay and to walk well on a leash, also housetraining, so Bobber will be a fantastic family companion! He will need some daily exercise, so an active family or household will be best for this friendly boy.

Jake is a sweet lil old mountain cur/hound dog mix, and he is a wonderful dog! He is in the prison program and is from the SPOT Rescue in Morgan County. We don't know how anyone can resist his sweet face! He has suffered some sort of neglect or abuse in his past, so loving care and patience is needed for this sweet, playful boy. We are socializing him and treating him with a lot of TLC. He loves his treats and belly rubs. He needs a home with loving pet parents and maybe a playmate or two. Jake needs daily exercise--fenced yard and walks/runs.

She is a sweetheart who needs a home that will nurture her and treat her as a member of the family.

Elvis came to the prison program from the Perry County Humane Society. He is a big old baby of a dog, a German Shep mixed with Retriever, and he is very friendly and warm-hearted. Elvis was seized in a cruelty case, but you would not know it with his sweet temperament. He is learning commands and tricks already, and would like to be part of a loving family! Elvis needs some room to play--maybe a fenced yard or at least a couple of long walks. Mostly, though, Elvis needs a lot of love and affection, and he will reward you with a lot of his own love and affection!

Marco comes to the SCI program from Perry County Humane Society. He is a black lab mixed with perhaps some sort of terrier. Marco is a handsome lad who is learning all of his basic obedience commands while in the program. Marco is very good with other dogs, people and doesn't seem to mind cats too much. He would be a very good family dog, especially if you have a fenced yard for him to play in, or you will walk him a couple of times daily. Come meet Marco and make him your new best forever friend.
